Admit it. They're amazing. Everyone in their life has made at least one mix tape. Whether it was for someone else or for just you. And now, mix tapes don't just mean cassettes, at least not to me. It can be a burnt CD, a playlist, anything. But mix tapes bring us back. Mix tapes are the ol' reliable in music. You know they'll always be there.

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. I'm not some piece of teenage wildlife.
I'm usually busy turning MP3's, Cd's and records into the good ol' reliable cassette tapes. They hardly ever fail. Besides, cassettes are better than CD's. also, you can't burn a CD on-the-go. a tape recorder can go everywhere.
Mixing tapes also brings respect for what you're recording. It's a hands-on experience. you're not silently taking them off the 'net.
